Email checker

Check email format, mail records, disposable addresses, and common typos.

Format and domain checks only. This does not verify that the mailbox exists.

Nothing is sent to the address.

Use it in your app

GET /email/name@company.com

This page is that core call, running from your browser. Add ?deep=true for metered mailbox verification, using included checks and optional on-demand usage. Deliverability and catch-all results can be unknown.

QUESTIONS

What exactly gets checked?
The shape of the address, its domain mail records, whether it is a consumer mailbox, whether the provider is a disposable service, whether the address is a role like info@ or sales@, and the reserved host type when it is academic, government, or military. Common misspellings get a suggestion. A passing check does not prove the mailbox exists.
Does it email the address?
No email is sent to the address. The core check evaluates its format, domain mail setup, consumer mailbox, disposable status, role-address status, and reserved domain type.
Is this the same as verification?
This tool runs the core check. Email deep and Bulk also check mailbox deliverability, which can be unknown. Email deep uses a separate included-check allowance and optional on-demand usage; Bulk offers a quote for the file.
I have a whole list.
Upload it at /bulk/email to choose your checks and see the exact quote before running verification. Duplicate values and malformed entries are excluded from the quoted billable count; verification can still return unknown.
