The name for the API contract that existed before explicit version selection. Existing teams keep its response fields and access rules while they prepare an upgrade.
The original contract
This is a baseline label for the originally unversioned API, not a newly dated release.
Existing teams and public keyless self-lookups retain 1.0.0. Creating or replacing a key does not upgrade a team.
Supported contracts receive maintained security, reliability and data corrections. Current observations and source data are not frozen to an earlier date.
New additive lookups can be available in 1.0.0 as well as 2.0.0. Existing /timezone responses keep their original contract in 1.0.0; the new /time route has its own shared initial contract.
