One limit for extra usage

Included lookup allowances are separate by product, but additional paid usage shares one monthly dollar limit for the team.

If you set a monthly limit for additional usage, using a second endpoint should not quietly give you a second spending budget.

Email verification and carrier lookup have separate included allowances. After those allowances are used, their additional lookup charges count toward the same dollar limit for your team. Caller ID, live status, and the other checks with additional-usage pricing use that limit too.

For a hypothetical $50 limit, $10 of additional email verification and $15 of additional carrier lookups add up to $25 against that limit. They are not each working through their own $50.

The included lookups are used first. The dollar limit concerns additional lookup charges, separate from the subscription price. Using an included lookup does not spend part of that dollar amount.

Choose what happens after the allowance

The Plan page has three modes for plans that support additional paid usage:

  • Disabled stops checks when their included allowance runs out.
  • Fixed enables additional paid checks with a monthly dollar limit.
  • Unlimited enables additional paid checks without that dollar limit. The additional usage is still billed.

A file run on your paid plan uses the same allowances and additional-usage settings as requests made from your code. The quote shows how the selected work fits those allowances before you start it.

Separate lookup counts help you understand which checks you use. Keeping the dollar setting shared means adding another kind of check does not give you another spending decision to track.
